The Arab Chapter -like everybody else- was affected by the unexpected pandemic situation of COVID-19. The Chapter had to cancel many planned events starting March 2020. An event was planned at the University of Manitoba late March 2020 to promote engineering as part of the centennial celebrations. A community picnic was planned in July and was cancelled. The Annual General Meeting was moved to a virtual version due to the restrictions on public events in Manitoba.
