It is with heavy hearts that we would like to remember and honor our dear friend and colleague, Eng. Samir Hammad. Samir was not just a member of our Arab Engineers Chapter in Manitoba; he was the embodiment of dedication, brilliance, and camaraderie. His passing has left a void that can never truly be filled, but his legacy will forever shine as a beacon of inspiration within our community.
Eng. Samir was more than just an engineer; he was a mentor, a friend, and a source of unwavering support for those who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for engineering knew no bounds, and he tirelessly worked towards the betterment of our profession. Whether it was through his innovative ideas, his commitment to excellence, or his willingness to lend a helping hand, Samir left an indelible mark on all of us. Eng. Samir was a long serving member of the Arab Members Chapter of Manitoba, hosted various presentations attended by many engineers and had held the position of Vice-Chair of the Chapter.
Beyond his professional achievements, Eng. Samir was a kind and compassionate soul. His warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine concern for others brought solace to those around him. He had an incredible ability to connect with people from all walks of life, fostering a sense of unity and belonging within our chapter.
Eng. Samir’s legacy will continue to inspire us to strive for greatness, just as he did throughout his life. Let us remember him not with tears of sorrow but with tears of gratitude for the moments we shared, the knowledge he imparted, and the lives he touched.
